Feb 09- BAGELS

My favorite breakfast staple here in NYC and the ones at work are pretty good though they didn't have my fav Everything Bagel today but on a snowy day like today was happy to be indoors with a toasted plain bagel with scallion cream cheese - happy National Bagel Day :)

Some background: Bagels are one of the few breads that are boiled then baked. This creates a soft inside while keeping a crisp outside. Bagels originated in Poland in the early 17th century and now sell over a billion dollars worth each year in the United States.
