Happy National Bootleggers Day -in honor of this holiday I went to Gallagher's which I had not known before today actually started its existence as a Theater District speakeasy for gamblers, sports figures and stars of broadway. It was founded by Helen Gallagher a former Zeigfield girl and Jack Soloman, a colorful gambler with a large loyal following.
